Lymphatic Drainage Massage – An Apparatus Procedure with Proven Results

Lymphatic drainage massage is applied with the help of a device that performs mechanical and pneumatic massage on the soft tissues of the body.

The device activates the compression and decompression of several applicators designed for different parts of the body: arms, legs, abdominal area.

The equipment

We use a modern, highly efficient device – BTL-6000 Lymphastim 12 Easy. This is an apparatus with a computer-controlled compression and decompression system.

  • Offers 8 preset modes, giving the possibility of modification according to the patient’s individual needs;
  • Enables adjustment of the massage speed according to the relevant mode;
  • The degree of pressure can also be adjusted during the procedure.

How it works?

The device fills applicators with air. The frequency of pumping in and out can vary.

A light and pleasant pressure is applied to the affected areas. It is similar to massaging and the compression is not painful.

During the procedure, the patient is in a supine position, so that they can relax and enjoy the pleasant compression therapy.

After the procedure, which lasts no more than 30 minutes each session, the results are already there:

Effect of the massage on the body

The massage is focused on activating the venous and lymphatic flow, from the ankles to the upper body.

  • Increases blood circulation in the lymphatic and venous flow;
  • Stimulates purification of extracellular fluids – eliminates the swelling and edemas that result from accumulated toxins and water retention;
  • Improves oxygen transfer in the body, and this also brings and overall feeling of relaxation.
